Leeds Castle Events all year round

Below is a list of all our special events for this year. Look out for the BOOK ONLINE graphic as tickets will be available to purchase in advance from our E-Shop. Any event with the FURTHER INFORMATION graphic will either have a page dedicated to that event or a downloadable press release.

Events showing the key symbol are included in the price of admission.
However, some events will incur a small additional charge.

15 February - 21 February
Half Term through the Ages
Find out what life was like below stairs at Leeds Castle through the eyes of servants through the ages. Costumed characters bring Leeds Castle's colourful history to life with lots of interactive fun for families.
There is a small additional £1 charge for the "Castle characters through the ages" event.

02 April - 05 April
Spring into Easter
Bring all the family to celebrate spring at the castle, with Easter bonnet making in a craft marquee and an Easter bonnet trail through the grounds leading to the Bunny Burrows.
There is a small additional £2 charge for the children's craft activities and trail.

20 April - 27 April
Tulip Fever
See the grounds of Leeds Castle transformed into carpets of colour with thousands of tulips. The theme continues in the castle rooms where stunning tulip arrangements complement the décor. Held in partnership with de Jager bulbs.

22 May - 23 May
Home and Garden Weekend
An eclectic mix of ideas to enhance your home, whet your appetite, add colour to the garden and even refresh your wardrobe. All presented in the beautiful castle grounds with characteristic Leeds Castle style and quality.

01 June - 06 June
Jousting at the Field of the Cloth of Gold
Medieval activity and entertainment features thrilling jousting tournaments with knights on horseback, archery, activities for children and the exciting new World of Wings free flying bird shows.

10 June - 13 June
Jane Austen’s “Pride and Prejudice” on the Lawn
Join Chapterhouse Theatre Company this summer for an evening of Regency wonderment. The Pavilion Lawn is the perfect setting for Jane Austen’s classic love story, performed by the acclaimed touring company as part of their garden theatre season.
The Box Office will be available to purchase tickets from 1st March 2010.

03 July
The Leeds Castle Open Air Classical Concert
Music will once again fill the air at the historic castle for the traditional concert which kicks off at 4.30pm with a stirring performance from the Band of the Gurkhas. The concert itself starts at 7.30pm, narrated by acclaimed actor Robert Powell. John Rigby will conduct the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in a programme of classical favourites.


04 July
The Little Big Club at Leeds Castle
A fantastic new show for 2010 from Hit Entertainment and Premier Productions, featuring Bob the Builder, Barney, Angelina Ballerina, Fireman Sam, Fifi Forget-me-not & Pingu.


30 July - 31 July
Shakespeare on the Lawn - The Tempest
Shakespeare’s tempestuous tale of love and magic performed by The Lord Chamberlain’s Men. Bring along picnics and a glass of something chilled for an evening of Shakespearean fun with the acclaimed all-male touring theatre company.
The Box Office will be available to purchase tickets from 1st March 2010.

14 August - 15 August
Classic Cars and More!
A celebration of transport through the ages. Classic cars from the early 20th century to the present day, helicopters, gliders, a hot air balloon and steam vehicles.

18 September - 19 September
Jousting with Robin Hood
Another chance to catch the Jousting Tournament with characters from the tales of Robin Hood. Archery and children’s craft making activities in a marquee add to the family fun.

06 October - 10 October
Autumn Glory Flower Festival
Fabulous flower arrangements created by local florists, flower societies and clubs transform the castle rooms into floral works of art inspired by the Harvest Festival.

23 October - 29 October
Halloween at Leeds Castle
Entertain the children with a visit to the castle at Half Term. Mask making and spooky Halloween-themed activities in a marquee.
There is a small additional £1.50 charge for the children's craft activities.

06 November
Leeds Castle Fireworks Spectacular
Hailed as one of the finest firework displays in the country. A pyrotechnic spectacular set to foot tapping film scores all the family can sing along to. Come for the evening performance or arrive early to catch the afternoon entertainment.

07 November

20 November - 21 November
Festive Fair
Over 150 exhibitors showcase their wares in a heated and carpeted marquee. Traditional and innovative gift ideas, stocking fillers and festive food and drink, plus Christmas card making for children.
There is a small additional £2 charge for entry into the Festive Fair.

06 December - 24 December
Christmas at the Castle
Enter a magical world of enchantment as you wander through the castle rooms, beautifully decorated with scenes inspired by classic pantomimes. Father Christmas in his grotto and special evening openings.

26 December - 03 January
The Christmas Trail
Blow away the cobwebs after Christmas following a trail of pantomime character clues through the grounds, with a reward for children completing the trail.
There is a small additional £1 charge for the trail.
